Dr. Dre and Ed Lover, popular MTV hosts of Yo MTV Raps fame, left their gig at KKBT-FM The Beat, which is a Los Angeles version of New York City’s Hot 97. They have been replaced by Steve Harvey, who left his top rated radio show in Chicago, at WGCI-FM. He moved out to the West Coast to tape his Warner Brothers TV show, The Steve Harvey Show. Harvey, who also hosts Showtime At The Apollo had the number one show in his market. He built a radio studio in his home to continue his broadcasting from Los Angeles, but grew tired of waking up at 3 in the morning. Harvey is red hot, with a hit movie Kings Of Comedy doing well at the Box Office. He begins broadcasting September 11th.
