E-40 Invests In Filipino Food Company

E-40 hopes his new business will turn into a nationwide franchise!

(AllHipHop News) E-40 is still rapping and still leveling up left and right.

With all his endeavors as a businessman, which includes starting his wine beverage line that’s available to purchase at all BevMos, now he’s turning his focus to food.

Filipino food to be exact!

Thanks to his love for lumpia, it was only right for the Ambassador of the Bay to invest in the Lumpia Company.

E-40 is the new co-owner of the growing Filipino food company, best known for their spring rolls and lumpia bacon burgers.

“Being from Vallejo, California, my surroundings was all walks of life, very diverse. Filipinos were a big part of Vallejo’s community… some of my best friends was Filipino. I ate lumpia with the kids I grew up around, and it became one of my favorite dishes of all time,” E-40 told Eater San Francisco.

Food entrepreneur Alex Retodo started Lumpia Company in 2015, but it was the moment E-40 had a sample of his lumpia that “history was made,” he said, revealing the brand’s best selling item is the bacon cheeseburger lumpia.

They currently sell from a takeout window in a 30-foot Lumpia trailer in Uptown Oakland as well as inside Oracle Park, home of baseball team San Francisco Giants.

E-40 and Alex Retodo are currently hard at work developing plans to franchise their successful business.
