Ecko Holding Concert To Benefit Endangered Rhinos

Marc Ecko, founder of clothing company Ecko Unltd, has announced he will be presenting a benefit concert to help save the endangered Rhinoceros species.  The concert will include performances from The Roots, De La Soul, MF Doom and special guests. Recently, Ecko has made a financial commitment and overall effort to double the populations of the Indian, Black and Sumatran Rhino’s, three of the most endangered species. “While the Rhino has been an integral part of “Ecko Unltd.’s” heritage since its beginning 12 years ago, it wasn’t until we really studied this majestic animal and its daily struggles that a true affinity was born,” Ecko said. “It’s because of this unique bond that we dedicated ourselves to saving the animal that provided our inspiration, and I am delighted to be joined by The Roots, De La Soul and MF Doom in this global effort.” Ecko’s clothing company, which was created in 1993, is known for its signature Rhino logo seen on its clothing and apparel. The benefit concert will be held (rain or shine) in Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield on Tuesday, June 28th.  Doors open at 6pm and the first performance begins at 6:30pm. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster outlets, at http://www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone and are $36 in advance and $40 at the event. You can also purchase tickets at Fat Beats in NYC. Proceeds from the concert will go to the International Rhino Foundation.
