French Montana’s Gun Toting Bodyguard Held On $20,000 Bail

More details have come out about a wild night for French Montana and his crew after the 2019 VMAs.

(AllHipHop News) A member of French Montana’s security team is still sitting behind bars, after being busted at an after-party for the VMAs.

A member of the “All The Way Up” hitmakers entourage named Norwood Thomas was taken into custody around 2:30 am outside of Avenue nightclub in Manhattan.

Security guards say French was entering the club with a variety of superstar rappers, including A$AP Rocky and Busta Rhymes.

But when it was time for Thomas to be frisked, he hopped out of the line. His abrupt action caught the attention of security for Avalon, who called the cops.

The police arrived and found Norwood Thomas was in possession of a 9MM handgun. He once had a license for the weapon, but it was expired.

Thomas was charged with possession of an illegal firearm and hauled off to the Manhattan Detention Complex, where he is still being held on $20,000 bail.

The arrest preceded a fight amongst French Montana’s crew after a night of partying at a nearby strip club.

“We had went to the strip club, then after the strip club, on our way, we stopped to get some chopped cheese,” French Montana told Angie Martinez. “My boys just started arguing, the next thing, I turn around, they started fighting. My security is in the car asleep. I don’t blame him, though. But that’s why I was yelling. I shouldn’t be the one breaking up a fight. It was only us. It wasn’t no outside people.”

It is not surprising French Montana would be walking around strapped up.

Back in 2003, French was shot in the head and in 2015, his close associate Chinx Drugs was shot and killed in a shooting in Queens.
