Ice-T was one of 10 celebrity voices and sounds that awoke shoppers who signed up for the service at Target’s website. The point of the promotion was to remind Black Friday shoppers of Target’s “Two Day Sale,” which ended yesterday (November 28th). "Hey man, this is Ice-T. You wanna mess around or you wanna wake up? Cause I’ll get your butt out of that bed real quick. Cause if your feet don’t hit the floor within two seconds after I call, I’m comin’ over there and I guarantee that you’ll be awake then,” the rapper’s message humorously stated. Ice T’s wake up call has been the most popular. Supermodel Heidi Klum greeted shoppers with a kiss, while Darth Vader and Cheech (Cheech & Chong) also proved popular with witty messages. In order to prevent pranksters from abusing the service, shoppers had to register their phone number at Target’s official website and then dial an 800 number in order to confirmed they were calling from the number to be called.
