(AllHipHop News) R&B singer Jacquees was arrested Wednesday night in Miami after cops tried to stop him in his Lamborghini.
The singer was detained following allegations that he disregarded the police’s demands to pull over.
The 23-year-old singer was riding in his Black Lamborghini around 4:30 PM, when officers tried to stop him for reportedly not using his seat belt.
The arresting officers insist he was resistant when he finally did stop, and Jacquees ended up being charged with failure to obey a lawful command, and for the seat belt infraction.
It now appears that Jacquees may be gearing up for a potential lawsuit against Miami Beach PD after one of its officers got rough with him during a traffic stop.
The singer recorded a video for his fans, and he addressed the police officers using what he describes as excessive force.
“I’m just here to let all of my fans and people who support me know that I am physically and mentally okay. The excessive force used during my arrest for not wearing my seat belt was ridiculous. However at this time I have been advised not to speak on the situation and to allow my legal representatives to look at the situation and to handle it however they feel is necessary. I love all of my fans and make sure you wear your seat belt,” said Jacquees.
