Jordan Peele’s ‘Get Out’ Named Most Profitable Film Of 2017 So Far

THE MOVIE EARN ITS FILMMAKERS A LARGE RETURN ON THEIR INVESTMENT

(AllHipHop News) Jordan Peele’s directional debut Get Out is clearly a huge critical and financial success.

Get Out earned an 84/100 score on Metacritic and a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

According to Box Office Mojo, the horror movie starring Daniel Kaluuya and Allison Williams has made over $252 million worldwide.

The Wrap further crunched those revenue numbers to determine that Get Out is the most profitable film of the year so far.

Peele reportedly created the hit on a $4.5 million budget, and another estimated $30 million was used for marketing.

That means the filmmakers made a 630% return on their investment.

Besides Get Out, Blumhouse Productions had another extremely profitable 2017 motion picture with Split.

M. Night Shyamalan’s comeback thriller made $277 million on an estimated $39 million combined budget (610% ROI).

After pulling off a major win with Get Out, Jordan Peele is now producing a television adaptation of Matt Ruff’s novel Lovecraft Country for HBO.
