Kanye West In Talks To Help Rebuild The Bahamas

Kanye West is being a Good Samaritan, and helping out those in need in the Bahamas

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has teamed up with sportsman and humanitarian Rick Fox to aid those recovering from the Hurricane Dorian devastation in the Bahamas.

The two men met with government officials in Nassau over the weekend as part of an aid mission staged by Fox’s Bahamas Relief Foundation.

The former basketball star, who grew up in the Bahamas, has been helping raise funds and co-ordinate supplies for those worst hit by last month’s storm, which claimed the lives of at least 50 people.

The pair are also in talks with the government to help rebuild the island.

Kanye and Rick Fox met with the National Emergency Management Agency.

During their meeting, they spoke with John Michael Clarke of the reconstruction committee and Godfrey Rolle, Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ rep at NEMA.

Details about the conversations were not revealed, however, the disaster in the Bahamas could present Kanye with a market for his new affordable-housing concepts.

It was a busy week of doing good for a reformed Kanye West.

The rapper also popped up in Salt Lake City and held his “Sunday Service” at the same time The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were hosting their annual conference.

Kanye’s choir gave a rousing performance as usual, and the rapper delivered a politically charged, religious-themed message during a sermon.
