The Source magazine announced the nominations for their 7th annual awards show. Kanye West led all nominees with seven nods, Ludacris earned six nominations and fellow Atlanta rapper Lil Jon snagged four. Other artists nominated include Jay-Z, Lil’ Flip, Juvenile and Twista, who will face off in the Artist of the Year category, while Outkast, Westside Connection, Youngbloodz, and the Ying Yang Twins square off in the Group of the Year category. "We are very excited about this year’s nominations, and expect this year’s awards will be a very special night for the Hip-Hop generation, and the city of Miami,” Source founder Dave Mays said. “The Source is proud to continue its longstanding tradition of honoring, and celebrating the incredible talents and accomplishments of the artists and producers of the Hip-Hop world. We expect many surprise winners, and look forward to having the leaders of Hip-Hop join us at our show," said David Mays.
