(AllHipHop News) Yesterday, Kendrick Lamar tweeted the link to his new single, “The Heart Part IV” on Spotify.

He had previously hinted to a new project when he erased all the pictures off his Instagram two days ago, except for a picture of the roman numeral four.

Some theorized that it was the release date for his new album, but it was the artwork of his new single, “The Heart Part IV.”

Twitter reps told AllHipHop.com that there were over 500,000 tweets regarding the new single with the first 12 hours of hits announcements.

Celebrities have also joined in the conversation sharing their excitement.

Breakout singer/songwriter Khalid, tweeted his support as his vocals were featured on K Dot’s new single.

Joe Budden tweeted “Kendrick has had enough of y’all” because Kendrick Lamar is throwing shots at a number of rappers, even though it’s pure speculation who he’s talking about.
