Some people online have an issue with one of Kevin Gates’s latest Instagram posts. Gates had no problem addressing the backlash.
The Baton Rouge-bred rapper shared a video of himself teaching his ten-year-old daughter, Islah, how to drive. That brief IG clip generated a lot of responses from other social media users.
“When you love what you have – you have everything you need,” wrote Gates in the caption. “These moments are the ones worth more than anything to a father, #islah says I’m a pretty 😎 cool dad – I love you all #onlythegeneralstour #alhamdulillah.”
Several Instagram commenters pointed out that Islah did not have a seatbelt on while driving behind the wheel of the vehicle. One of those people got a response from Kevin Gates.
“This cool and all but bra put her seatbelt on,” commented the @tone_blessedsc account in response to the video of Islah. Kevin Gates fired back in his own comment section by posting, “I don’t raise [p######].”
Throughout his career as a public figure, Kevin Gates faced negative reactions to his words and actions on several occasions. For example, the “2 Phones” performer raised eyebrows in January for admitting he enjoys drinking his partner’s urine.
