Director Lee Daniels Says 50 Cent Wants To Guest Star On "Empire"

FIDDY APPARENTLY ASKED TO MAKE A GUEST APPEARANCE ON HIS SHOW’S “RIVAL”

(AllHipHop News) For all the trash talking that took place between 50 Cent and Taraji P. Henson over the two stars’ respective TV shows, it is interesting to find out that 50 apparently asked to appear on Henson’s new series Empire. This revelation comes after the Hip Hop mogul publicly complained the Fox drama seemed to borrow from his own hit show Power.

In an interview with Hip Hop Wired, Empire producer/director Lee Daniels claimed that 50 reached out to him about being a guest star on the program. According to Daniels, the Queens representative was attempting to make a cameo on Empire around the same time he was blasting the series.

“Oh 50, he didn’t even see the show,” said Daniels. “I just talked to him two weeks ago and he said was gonna come guest star. He’s just trying to start some mess.”

Daniels then praised 50 for his marketing strategy of trying to draw attention to Power. The 50-produced show debuted on Starz in 2014 and turned into a ratings success. The season finale totaled 2.5 million viewers which was the highest for a Starz season ender since Spartacus: War of the Damned in 2013.
