(AllHipHop News) Baltimore rapper YBS Skola just inked a major record deal.
Hip-hop star Meek Mill announced on his Instagram account that YBS Skola is the latest member of his Dream Chasers record label.
YBS Skola is a member of the late Lor Scoota’s Baltimore crew of rappers, YBS.
Unfortunately, Lor Scoota is not alive to see the success of his YBS crew member.
Lor Scoota was gunned down in June of 2016 after leaving a celebrity basketball game in Baltimore.
Cortez Mitchell, the man accused of murdering the rapper, was also recently gunned down, and the case was closed earlier this week.
YBS Skola persevered through the tragedy, and eventually released his debut mixtape “No Pen Just Paper” shortly afterwards to critical acclaim, so the signing is a big win for the Baltimore’s rap community.
