Wu-Tang Clan rapper Method Man has reached a plea deal with prosecutors in New York after he was arrested in May and charged with possession of marijuana.   Method Man, born Clifford Smith, was arrested on May 17, when officers stopped his 2005 Lincoln Navigator for having an expired inspection sticker.   When the arresting officer approached the vehicle, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana.   A search of the SUV found 28 grams of marijuana in the car.   He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, criminal possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and driving an uninspected motor vehicle.   As part of his plea agreement, the 36-year-old rapper will join New York’s Choices and Consequence program as part of his community service.   Method Man will create raps for children, warning about the dangers of drug use.   The Choices and Consequences program was created by Kings County District Attorney Charles J. Hynes to combat reckless and drunk driving among teenagers.
