Mos Def/Macy Gray Perform - AllHipHop

Mos Def/Macy Gray Perform

In Rawkus related news, Mos Def is doing a show with Macy Gray at the Roseland in New York City, Feb. 12th. The next Mos Def single will be Umi Says from his critically acclaimed Black On Both Sides album. The label also has dibs on Big L’s album, which was completed before our hero was fatally shot in Manhattan. Word has it that producers went back in and reworked some of the beats so the album will be extra hot. Brand Nubian’s Lord Jamal is searching for a solo deal, and ended up at red hot Rawkus. Apparently Lord Jamal is seeking the freedom that the indie labels provide. He is part of Brand Nubian, which is currently signed to major, Arista.
