Naomi Campbell To Launch Benefit Fashion Shows To Fight Ebola

THE SUPERMODEL WANTS TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT EBOLA THROUGH BENEFIT FASHION SHOWS

The Ebola outbreak has had the nation on edge and now that the first American has died from it is becoming more of a national concern. Now, someone in the public eye is stepping up to address the issue. Naomi Campbell has told Page Six that she wants to launch two Fashion for Relief benefit shows to help raise money to fight the Ebola outbreak. The supermodel hopes to host one during New York Fashion Week in February and then another show in London after that.

The London native says she not only wants to help Ebola victims but also educate the public about the virus.

“I’m scared,” said the 44-year-old. “People don’t have a clear idea about what Ebola is. Ebola does not discriminate.” Campbell also mentioned that she feels responsible as a black woman to address this outbreak. She has launched her Fashion for Relief shows in the past to benefit Haiti and Japan during their times of crisis as well.
