(AllHipHop News) Quincy Jones’ provocative interview with Vulture may have Hollywood shook. The legendary musician used the moment to voice his unabashed thoughts on other celebrities like Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Marlon Brando, Richard Pryor, Marvin Gaye, Ivanka Trump, Hillary Clinton, Jimi Hendrix, and more.

One section of the article covered Jones’ experience producing and scoring 1985’s The Color Purple. Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover, and Oprah Winfrey starred in the Oscar-nominated, Steven Spielberg-directed movie.

“What happened was that I was a producer on The Color Purple. Spielberg and me are still great friends, man. He’s a great f-cking guy. I loved working with him,” said Jones.

Winfrey was asked about the über-viral Vulture interview outside the Apollo Theater in New York City. The billionaire mogul stated she had not read the piece, but she did have a comment about Jones.

“Look, Quincy is a friend of mine. You are not going to get me to say one thing about Quincy,” Winfrey declared. “Quincy Jones discovered me for The Color Purple. You will not hear me say a bad thing about [Jones].”
