Pharrell's 'Happy' Is Spotify's Top Song Of 2014


With 2014 coming to a close, the year-end lists of the best this and that are slowly pouring in. Streaming service Spotify has issued their lists of top albums, songs, artists and albums for the year according to the amount of streams. Pharrell’s Oscar and Grammy-nominated track “Happy” took the title as the top song of 2014. This isn’t surprising considering that “Happy” has become one of the best selling singles of all time and has over 505 million views on YouTube. Pharrell’s album G I R L also scored a spot on the top albums list coming in at number four.

The only other hip-hop artist that made the list was Eminem, who was listed on the top male artists list.
