Prosecutors Oppose Rapper Baby Soulja’s Bond Request After Arrest For Murder

Baby Soulja is facing serious problems over claims he shot and killed a rapper from South Carolina.

(AllHipHop News) Back in May, Baby Soulja was arrested for the murder of a rapper named Dorian Brooks, a 33-year-old from Hardeeville, South Carolina.

Baby Soulja, real name Charles Javon Doles, was indicted on October 30th by a Chatham County, Georgia grand jury on charges of murder and aggravated assault.

Now, prosecutors are opposing his bond, claiming the rapper has a history of similar violence.

“We do think he’s a flight risk. He certainly is a risk to re-offend,” Chatham County Assistant District Attorney Matt Breedon argued according to The Savannah Morning News.

Four other people were named in the indictment for attempting to cover up the crime to protect Baby Soulja.

Dorian Brooks rapped under the name Mr. Carolina Gamecock. He was found dead from gunshot wounds near Interstate 16 in Savannah.

Baby Souja’s defense attorney Boone Phillips is asking the judge to grant the rapper a $50,000 bond with conditions, including 24/7 house arrest at his mom’s home.

The rapper is also claiming self-defense, even though prosecutors claim Brooks was found to be unarmed when he was killed.
