Queen Latifah Starring In Two New Flicks

Queen Latifah is executive producing and starring opposite Steve Martin in the comedy, "In The Houze." The movie centers around a man (Martin) who meets a female (Latifah) on the internet, who happens to be in prison. In a strange twist, the female inmate escapes prison and proceeds to wreak havoc on Martin’s life. The movie is scheduled for a 2003 release. Latifah is also starring in "Brown Sugar" with Taye Diggs and Sanaa Lathan. "Brown Sugar," described as an African-American "When Harry Met Sally," focuses on a romance between an A&R executive (Diggs) at a hip-hop record label and a magainze editor (Lathan) who are childhood friends. Latifah plays Lathan’s best friend. Production on the movie started in 2001 in New York City, but was post poned due to the 9/11 attacks. The filming has wrapped and is scheduled to hit theaters in October 2002.
