Rev Run Makes Triumphant Return to Madison Square Garden

Hip-Hop pioneer Reverend Run will make a triumphant return to Madison Square Garden during a sold out performance this Thursday (May 15).   The Run-DMC co-founder and Run’s House reality TV star is in the midst of an international trek with Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and J. Geils Band member Peter Wolf.   The critically acclaimed show flows more like one fluid performance, with artists from different genres performing with each other during the concert, which draws fans of all races, creeds and colors.   The show marks Reverend Run’s first appearance at Madison Square Garden since 1988 and is Lynyrd Skynyrd’s first ever appearance in the venue.   “Here it is 2008, 20 years later. I can’t believe that God has allowed me to perform at the Garden once again,” an enthused Reverend Run told AllHipHop.com. “Me, Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd? You can’t get more diverse than that. It’s sold out. I’m excited.”   The appearance is a homecoming of sorts for the rapper, who first introduced his legendary catch phrase that was popularized in the movie Krush Groove.   “This is a big deal for me,” Reverend Run told AllHipHop.com. “The Garden was the first place I screamed ‘Whose house?’ and they all screamed Run’s house!”   The phrase, which was also turned into a hit single in 1988, also serves as the intro music to Reverend Run’s#### reality show Run’s House.   Prior to Reverend Run’s appearance at Madison Square Garden, the legendary rapper will meet and greet fans at the Foot Action on 34th St and 7th Avenue.
