Soulja Boy’s Manager Confirms Boxing Match Against Jake Paul

Miami Mike claims his longtime business partner is now “moving like an OG.”

(AllHipHop News) Yes, it was actually this year that Soulja Boy went on his epic media run that spawned the classic meme “Draaaake?!” It may feel like that happened forever ago, but Young Drako actually declared he had the best comeback of 2018… in 2019.

Since his infamous interview with The Breakfast Club in January, Soulja dealt with some legal issues. The 29-year-old rapper is now out of jail for a probation violation, but he has remained fairly quiet after being locked up for about three months.

So what has Big Soulja been up to since coming home? His manager/business partner Miami Mike spoke to HipHopDX about the “Crank That” hitmaker and what he has planned for 2020.

“He’s moving like [an] OG. He’s about to fight the Jake Paul guy. He’s quit drinking lean. He’s gained 50 pounds since he’s been out. He helping… getting smooth and he’s working out, he’s got buff and he’s just moving like an OG,” said Miami Mike.

The possibility of a Soulja Boy versus Jake Paul bout has been talked about for months. In September, the popular YouTube personality called out Soulja for allegedly being scared to fight him. Paul said, “I grew up a Soulja Boy fan, so I’d knock him out and I’d be like, ‘Yo, respect. Let’s do a song together, bro.'”

Jake’s older brother, Logan Paul, recently lost a high-profile professional boxing match against British YouTuber Olajide “KSI” Olatunji. In an interview with AllHipHop, KSI downplayed the idea of facing off against the younger Paul.

“I’m definitely interested in fighting another celebrity. I feel like YouTuber wise, there isn’t really anyone for me. Besides maybe Jake, but I think Jake needs to prove himself. That’s why I’m always telling people he needs to fight [AnEsonGib]. If he beats Gib, then, fine, he can fight me,” stated KSI.

As for Soulja Boy, his 2020 will include crisscrossing the nation as part of Omarion and Bow Wow’s “The Millennium Tour” along with Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Sammie, and Pretty Ricky. Miami Mike also teased that an hour and 20-minute documentary will hit theaters in the coming months.
