South Park Mexican Signs Major Deal

The South Park Mexican (Carlos Coy), and his label, Dope House Records were being courted by several major labels, who were interested in handling the marketing and distribution of the label’s releases. He settled for Universal, which also has Def Jam, and Cash Money Records, in a deal worth an estimated $12 Million dollars. The South Park Mexican has taken his independent label from selling a couple hundred tapes, to pulling in $40,000 dollars per month, as well as directing his videos, before going with a major. SPM released a documentary he produced called “Mary-Go-Round” The Dope House Documentary. The flick is 80 minutes, and is worth buying. Other artists on Dope House are: The Hillwood Hustlaz, Rasheed, Low G, 24-7, Grimm and Pimpstress. The Southpark Mexican was doing well on his own, owning a recording studio, 23 company vans, and a six story office building.
