(AllHipHop News) Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly premiered August 28 on Netflix. The documentary followed the Houston rhymer as he created his AstroWorld album and traveled across the country for his “Wish You Were Here Tour.”
The exposure on the streaming platform apparently helped Travis Scott’s latest body of work skyrocket back up the Billboard 200 chart. AstroWorld jumped from #20 to #10 on the latest rankings with 31,000 units, an increase of 55% from the previous week.
AstroWorld debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in 2018 (537,000 units). The project went on to rule over the chart for three nonconsecutive weeks, and the RIAA has certified AstroWorld as 2x-platinum.
Named after the now-closed Six Flags AstroWorld theme park in Houston, Scott’s third studio LP hosted the songs “Stargazing,” “Stop Trying to Be God,” and the No. 1 smash “Sicko Mode” featuring Drake, Swae Lee, and Big Hawk. All 17 tracks on AstroWorld entered the Hot 100 singles chart the week the album hit DSPs.
