You Can Have rEVOLVEr, and You Can Have Tha Carter IV, But You Can’t Have “T-Wayne”!!
In an exclusive interview that T-Pain did with Rap-Up TV, he revealed the following about the album that has been in the works for years: “When [Wayne] got into his little trouble, that was right at the peak of when we was like, ‘OK, let’s go. Let’s do this now.’ He finally had time, then he went to jail,” said Pain, who recorded eight or nine songs for the project before it was scrapped. While he’s still up for it, he doesn’t think Weezy is interested. “Things happen and I’m pretty sure he’s over the whole idea now. I don’t even be bringing it up to him no more. I’m pretty sure he’s way past that right now. He’s doing big things.”
We think it’s safe to say that this is less of a disappointment then the fact that we still haven’t gotten I Can’t Feel My Face!
What Do You Get When You Mix Khaled, Drama, and David Guetta? DJ Pauly D!
In 50’s intricate Rolling Stone interview, he made some very interesting comparisons between new signee DJ Pauly D and heavyweights like DJ Drama and DJ Khaled: “When Pauly came by to see me, they had options. They had several places that they were going, and people that were interested in doing a deal with him. Obviously, the momentum from “Jersey Shore” was spun off into him being the first one to have his own independent series. They’re moving places and DJing in front of bigger audiences, and getting ready to make moves internationally, where the DJ is the star, overseas. When I sat with him, I saw the opportunities we could have moving forward, with brand extension and packaging the music…I look forward to it. I call him “the bridge.” He’s going to be something between what you would get from a DJ Khaled or a DJ Drama and what you would get from David Guetta.”
Riiiiiiiiiiiight!
