Lil Wayne Once Considered Doing Christian Rap After Prison

LIL’ WAYNE ONCE RECONSIDERED HIS RAP CAREER AS IT WAS.

Yesterday rapper Lil Wayne’s book, ‘Gone ’Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island’, was released and happened to reveal details about him once considering Christian Hip Hop.

While serving an eight-month sentence on weapons charges, Wayne was able to face many of his demons.

Lil Wayne used his time in prison to help others and to discover that his creativity came from within and not from drugs or women.

Wayne was first responsible for letting the Correctional Officers know if someone was in danger or attempting to commit suicide.

While battling some of his demons and focusing on his own mental health, Wayne learned to lean on faith behind bars.

In his book, Lil Wayne writes about receiving a letter from a church that urged him to use his platform and art to preach the good word.

“I would truly have the power of having pop culture turn to God. I would have straight k!llers in church every Sunday.”

Although Wayne considered the transition, he states that an epiphany convinced him that where he was in his life at the moment was a part of his entire journey.
