Swiped from illseed.com… (Opinion) I can’t take it no more. I type “crew love” in google and guess what I find? The Weeknd and Drake. No surprises here, right? Well, I have an issue with this because these fools have basically erased the original “Crew Love.” “Crew Love” is originally a gangster *ss song by Jay Z Ft. Beanie Siegel & Memphis Bleek. The song goes hard body and Jay is actually only on the hook. I want everybody to stop listened to Drake’s crew love and listen to Beanie and Bleek! This is why people are so soft these days. Listen to “Crew Love!” The Roc’s “Crew Love” [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsH7cUsS3Cw] The Drake’s “Crew Love” [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ud5na4v6jHs] Just look at the pic!

(AllHipHop News) Just a few years back, Drake received a phone call that would change his life forever. The phone call was from Lil’ Wayne, who had been tipped off by J. Prince Jr., that Drake was the next big thing in the rap game. Wayne would eventually fly Drake out to Houston to showcase his skills for a once in a lifetime opportunity, to sign with the now infamous and highly touted Young Money Records (YMCMB). Now looking back and understanding the importance of getting a helping hand from artists that have already found their way, Drake is offering his help to an unknown emerging artist. Drake is presenting an up-and-coming MC with the chance to be the opening act on his “Club Paradise” tour. The winning MC will travel in a private, branded tour bus throughout the 27-city tour that features J. Cole, Meek Mill and Waka Flocka. Drake is offering the opportunity as part of a contest in association with OurStage.com and Real Hip Hop Network. OurStage.com started accepting entries on Monday (April 16). Songs can be submitted through April 30 at 12:00 pm EDT, while fan voting commences on April 30 at 12:00 pm EDT and closes on May 2 at 12:00 pm EDT. The winning act will be selected from the top 100 artists in the competition, pending the approval of Drake, Real Hip Hop Network and OurStage. The tour begins May 7 in Concord, CA and will make its final stop on June 17 in Mansfield, MA.

THE BEARD HAS TAKEN ON A LIFE OF ITS OWN. HERE’S OUR RUNDOWN OF THE BEST HAIRY FACES IN HIP-HOP!
From our friends at Vibe.com Could it be that Hip-Hop is entering into a new “Golden Age?” It was just a few short years ago that people constantly complained about the lack of creativity and ingenuity in Hip-Hop. But, recent years have seen an influx of creative new artists who have added value to the landscape. One of the crews leading the pack is the G.O.O.D. Music roster led by Kanye West. With a crew that includes the veteran Clipse MC, Pusha T, actor/rapper/weird guy, Kid Cudi, and newcomer, Detroit heartthrob, Big Sean. Add West, and G.O.O.D Music has more than enough spitters on their team. Sprinkle in production from Hit-Boy, and you have a good start. Then, the industry was surprised and intrigued when West added veteran hitmaker, Mannie Fresh, who compares G.O.O.D. Music to a “hit factory.” “There are so many talented people that are on G.O.O.D. Music that it’s nuts,” Mannie Fresh glows. “You have so many people that you are working with that it’s unlimited. I can’t say what it’s structured around. It’s more so a music factory.” Mannie Fresh created classic hits with Cash Money, the parent of the still-hot YMCMB that is serving up music with Drake and Nicki Minaj on its roster. He states that he has known Kanye since his days at Cash Money,” I’ve been knowing dude forever. Kanye knows what I’m about.” Read the full story here.

Kansas has a team of juniors and seniors ready to repeat their success from just a few years ago. “I’m over in Europe…but its still GO BIG BLUE!!!!” Drake Tweeted from Europe supporting Kentucky. In Vegas, Kentucky is currently favored by 6.5 points, in a matchup that features the two winningest programs in college basketball history. Other rappers have made their picks as well. Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z appears to be supporting Kentucky, after he made a high-profile appearance behind the team’s bench last weekend in New Orleans. Meanwhile, Asher Roth, who winded down his Final Four Tour on Saturday in New Orleans, is also rooting for Kentucky. “I think Calipari finally wins a National Championship,” Asher Roth told Complex. “He’s not that bad of a guy. I don’t know why everybody hates on him. Sure, he’s on some gangster s###, but it’s real in the field. It’s real out here. You have to win some championships.” Kentucky (#1) will take on Kansas (#2) tonight at 9:23PM on CBS.

(AllHipHop News) Despite recently releasing a visual for The R.E.D. Album track “The City” with Kendrick Lamar, Game is looking ahead to what’s next, specifically parting ways with Interscope Records and releasing a new mixtape, California Republic. The options for Game are endless according to the Compton MC who spoke on the possibility of aligning himself with an independent label with MTV. “That seems like a really, really good move where I can capitalize off of all the finances being made off of my music for once, but I don’t know. I kinda like having a lot of help, a lot of assistance from a big label. I don’t know, maybe we’ll have a meeting about a lot of money or I’ll be talking to my conscience.” Despite his current issues with his label home of lnterscope Records, Game is wasting no time in releasing new music, as he’s already recruited Rick Ross, Drake, Meek Mill, and a slew of other artists for his new mixtape, California Republic. “Everybody from Waka Flocka to Meek Mill, Wale and Ross and Drake [will be on it]. I’m just calling in Hip-Hop favors to get my fans some free music,” he said. Back in March, Game spoke to Billboard when he first announced the release and said that fans can expect “some new and upcoming artists from out this way,” and that fans “can expect my mixtape to do what it always does, which is consist of a lot of good music and be a lot better than most artists’ albums.” When asked about the significance of the project’s title, Game said, “Basically California Republic, it’s an umbrella. People come here to do music, a lot of stars are in and out of town for countless awards and what not and everybody appreciates the California sun and everything under it. From the good green, the women, ya know, just our lifestyle. That’s pretty much what it’s about.” California Republic is set to drop this spring.

(AllHipHop News) Young Money rap star Drake is on the receiving end of demands from an Oklahoma City club owner, who wants the entertainer to pay money for an incident that took place at a recently-held private party. In a letter sent to Drake and his manager that was obtained by TMZ.com, the owner of Dollhouse Lounge claims Drake asked him to open the club just for the rapper on March 1 to host a private party. Drake arrived at the club with his entourage, the owner stated, adding that several Dollhouse employees noticed the smell of marijuana come from Drake’s VIP section as the party was going on. As a result, the owner claims the party was shut down immediately, as the Oklahoma City police soon arrived to restore order and usher partygoers out of the Dollhouse Lounge. The owner further stated that the club’s manager was arrested after authorities issued her a ticket upon discovering a half-burnt marijuana cigarette in Drake’s section. In light of what happened, the owner wants Drake to compensate him for several thousand dollars worth of trouble he experienced … “or ELSE.” TMZ reports the owner thinks it’s “BS his club is taking the blame — because he’d never be in this mess if Drake never asked him to host a party.” At this time, Drake’s reps have yet to comment on the situation.

After releasing three mixtapes in 2011 and his Astronaut Status project earlier this year, Future says he is ready to capitalize on the major rotation that his hits “Tony Montana” and “Magic” have received, with the official release of Pluto. Pluto, released on Epic Records, A-1 Records and Freebandz Entertainment, features 15 tracks and includes features from such artists as R. Kelly, T.I., Drake, Trae the Truth, Big Rube, Snoop Dogg, and Juicy J. Future, who first began promoting the album last year when it was slated for a January release, spoke on the lack of rapping that he would do on Pluto. In an interview with VladTV, Future said, “As far as the melodies that I’m using, I’m not even really rapping on all the songs. I’ve probably got about 25% rap [on the album]; the rest of the songs are just full of melody.” “I feel like this music is really like an album that’s going to have to sit on the shelf for a long time. For people to understand it, they’re going to have to really sit down and understand and play it to get it.” He continued, “it’s timeless music, it’s music that you’re going to be able to hear three years from now and be like, ‘Oh that’s what he was talking about.’ I’m trying to be ahead of the curve, ahead of the time right now. You can’t be in with the fads, you’ve got to be a trendsetter.” Check out the full tracklisting for Pluto below: 1. The Future Is Now ft. Big Rube 2. Parachute ft. R. Kelly 3. Straight Up 4.
