(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All has been booted from a date on the Big Day Out festival, over their controversial lyrics. The decision to drop the group was made after local activists in Auckland, New Zealand placed pressure on Big Day Out organizers, in protest of the groups homophobic lyrical content. A letter was written to officials by a local resident, who complained about the group’s offensive lyrics and slurs against gays. The group controls Mount Smart Stadium, which is where the group was scheduled to play during the Big Day Out festival, which is taking place from January 20 to February 5. Other artists slated to perform during the festival include Kanye West, SoundGarden, My Chemical Romance, Girl Talk and others. The news caps off a controversial week for Odd Future. Last weekend (October 30), Odd Future group member Left Brain was accused of assaulting a photographer during Voodoo Experience Festival in New Orleans, although the group vehemently denied those charges.
