(AllHipHop News) During a recent Self Made 3 Listening Session at Circle House Studios, rapper Rockie Fresh of Maybach Music took a moment to speak with AllHipHop.com about appearing on his first retail release and how he plans to follow-up. “[It’s] amazing bro, there were ni**as in Chicago telling me I’d never be on the racks. I favorited some of them too, in 2010 when ni**as told me I’d never be in stores,” Rockie Fresh told AllHipHop.com. “[It’s amazing] for me to have my first time being in stores with my big homies Rozay, Meek Mill, Wale, Stalley, Omarion, Young Breed, Fabolous, Gunplay, the list goes on.” Rockie also touched on jumping on Meek’s “Dreams & Nightmares” tour, which provided invaluable experience to the budding MMG rapper. “Touring with Meek on the Dreams & Nightmares tour was a super dope experience, mainly because every show was sold out,” Rockie Fresh told AllHipHop.com. “Meek already got his fan base, he’s already popping…me being a member of the squad it was a real good look. I viewed it as a privilege. He was going to sell out if he didn’t have nobody opening for him. Danny Brown & Rockie Fresh Tapped For Mad Decent Block Party 2013

(AllHipHop News) Midwest emcees Danny Brown and Rockie Fresh were just announced as part of the line-up for the Mad Decent Block Party 2013 nationwide tour. The traveling festival will present various performers in 13 different cities from July – September. Chicago’s Rockie Fresh is currently scheduled to appear at the Brooklyn stop in Williamsburg Park on August 10th. Detroit native Danny Brown’s show dates have not been revealed yet, but more details about the tour are forthcoming. Danny recently made major headlines because of an onstage performance that included an unexpected cameo from an overzealous fan. (AllHipHop News) In a new feature, AllHipHop is asking artists to take it back to the classic 1991 Black Sheep single “The Choice Is Yours” by deciding if they want to go with “this or that.” In the first edition we tap Maybach Music Group’s youngest member Rockie Fresh. Now with the backing of a major label the Chicago-raised emcee has the ability to hit the studio regularly, and as a result he can choose to release music for his growing fanbase more often. After dropping the Electric Highway mixtape in January, Rockie is returning next week with his new project The Birthday Tape. AHH sat down with the 22-year-old to get his picks on a few questions concerning his interests and other hot topics in Hip-Hop. The self-professed fan of the Chicago Bulls, Kanye West, rock music, and the Back to the Future franchise shares his choices in “This or That”.
