Gucci Mane To Be Sued For Millions For Death Of Rapper Slim Dunkin

Uh oh! Gucci Mane could soon be facing charges for Slim Dunkin’s murder! According to HipHopEnquirer, Dunkin’s father has filed a suit against 1017 Brick Squad, Gucci Mane’s label, for $11 million dollars. The charges are blaming the label and Gucci for playing a part in Dunkin’s death, in 2013, as Dunkin was scheduled to be in a 1017 Brick Squad video shoot. Apparently the charges are also against Gucci’s Warner Music Label for failing to provide adequate security on set of the music video shoot. Slim Dunkin was killed by Vinson Hardiman after Hardiman shot him in the chest during an altercation. Hardiman was convicted of aggravated assault, but not murder. Dunkins’s father plans to seek justice by filing a civil suit against Gucci for his son’s wrongful death. What are your thoughts?

Young Vito Murder Trial Over Rapper Slim Dunkin’s Death Begins

(AllHipHop News) The jury selection process began yesterday (February 18) in Atlanta, for the rapper accused of killing Brick Squad 1017 member, Slim Dunkin. Vinson Hardimon aka Young Vito, is charged with shooting and killing Slim Dunkin, 24, during a dispute in a local recording studio. Young Vito, 30, has pleaded not guilty to a number of charges, including felony murder, and aggravated assault. Prosecutors claim that on December 16, the two men were involved in a dispute over a piece of candy, that escalated in to a fist fight, in a recording studio on Memorial Drive. According to witnesses, at some point during the fight, someone passed Young Vito a gun, which was used to kill Slim Dunkin, who was shot once in the stomach. [ALSO READ: Young Vito Held Without Bond Over Slim Dunkin Murder] Police never recovered the murder weapon, or shell casings and prosecutors believe someone cleaned up the crime scene after the shooting. Young Vito has been held without bond since January of 2012, because he is a flight risk. The rapper also has a lengthy criminal record, which includes cruelty to children and aggravated assault charges.

Young Vito Formally Charged with Murder of Slim Dunkin

(AllHipHop News) Vinson Hardimon, also known by the alias “Young Vito,” was indicted and charged with murder over the shooting death of rapper Slim Dunkin. Vito was formerly charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Vito is charged with murdering Mario “Slim Dunkin” Hamilton during a recording session in an Atlanta studio on December 16 2011. According to reports, Dunkin was recording in the the booth, when an argument ensued. Young Vito entered the booth at some point and the pair began to tussle. The altercation then escalated when Young Vito shot Slim Dunkin in the chest amidst the struggle. Slim Dunkin was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No future court dates have been set for Young Vito.
