Aretha Franklin Sings “Purple Rain” At All Star Global Concert

Times like this only shows how much President Obama will be missed. On Friday, the President hosted the All Star Global Concert was underway at the White House in Washington, DC. The concert,created to celebrate International Jazz Day, featured several artists including Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, Herbie Hancock, and many others. To celebrate the life of  Prince, legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin covered “Purple Rain” on the nationally broadcasted event. Armed with only her voice and Piano, Franklin sang the classic track with the support of a live band at the concert. Check out the video here.
