Nowhere in the US throws a party quite like New Orleans. The legendary Mardi Gras festival is a spectacular event and Bourbon Street contains every type of bar you could imagine. Even if the partying and drinking isn’t for you, New Orleans still has many sights and quirky attractions to see. There are fascinating museums and tours dedicated to the occult (ghosts and voodoo still remain a big part of New Orleans). The city also has some of the best cajun and creole restaurants in the US. And then there’s the city’s many sports attractions including the Superdome.
