2 Chainz has become one of the most recognizable faces of today’s Atlanta Hip-Hop scene. And his wife Nakesha (affectionately called Kesha) has been the backbone to all of his multi-million dollar success.

That’s why when the 6’5 artist got on his knee during the 2018 Met Gala ball and proposed to her, in front of God and all the world watching, it was a marvelous sight. It was a sight that left the world asking, “Who is this Kesha Ward woman?”

I mean … we know him.

All one has to do is journey around the city and you’ll probably hear his music blaring out of cars, clubs, barbershops, and beauty salons. Before the Kanye West collaborations and GRAMMY nominations, he was Titi Boi of Playaz Circle. In 2007 Playaz Circle gave us “Duffle Bag Boy”, a charismatic street classic. Peaking at number 15 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 the Lil Wayne assisted track motivated us to get to the bag. Titi Boi, also, represented well for Ludacris’s Disturbing The Peace label. In 2011 he changed his stage name to 2 Chainz, went solo, and released his debut album Based on a T.R.U. Story. The album would go on to become his first platinum solo effort.

But before he had any chains or fans screaming his name, he had Kesha Ward. For over two decades, she has managed to be everything that a Black man could ever want.

A mocha beauty infused with southern comfort, she is said to be family-oriented and committed to nurturing the next generation. Still, that is not all that makes up his missus. Aside from being a wife and mother at home, she owns A Gift From Heaven, a preschool and childcare facility located in Atlanta, Georgia. This daycare and school is possibly inspired by the three children she shares with the “I’m Different” rapper. Kesha also is a socialite, philanthropist, and executive director of ‘TRU Foundation.’
