Birdman Shows Love To Lil Wayne Despite Ongoing Rift

THE CASH MONEY HEAD POSTS A PIC FEATURING WEEZY

(AllHipHop News) Even though Lil Wayne has spent the last several years yelling “f-ck Cash Money,” the label’s head is still showing his “son” love.

CMR co-founder Birdman added a “Throwback Thursday” post on Instagram featuring a photo of him and Wayne.

He captioned the pic, “Real Rap music#cashmoneymillionaires.”

Wayne is still in the middle of a legal conflict with Birdman and Cash Money Records over unpaid money and the delay of his Tha Carter V album.

In March, Weezy told a crowd at the SXSW Festival he was “going through some bullsh-t with my motherf-cking career and n-ggas is trying to steer my career without letting me do or say a damn thing.”

There have been reports both sides were close to reaching a settlement in the lawsuit, but Birdman ended talks after Wayne shouted out Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella brand at a concert.

Rumors suggest Jay and Birdman have been competing for Wayne’s recording allegiance for over a decade, dating back to the New Orleans rapper nearly signing to the Roc around 2005.

Two years ago Cash Money sued the Jay Z led Tidal streaming service for exclusively debuting Wayne’s Free Weezy Album on the platform.

Lil Wayne is now one of the artist-owners of Tidal.
