Flow and alleged accomplice Jonathan Evans are suspected of fatally shooting brothers Kendred and Kendrick Bishop in New Orleans on Memorial Day. Evans was arrested on Saturday (June 27).
Flow was connected to the murders after police discovered his cell phone near the car where the Bishop brothers were found. He was also reportedly seen on surveillance footage taken of the area where the shooting happened. Video is said to show Flow and a man with an assault rifle running from the scene.
Flow informed detectives he was in the vehicle with the Bishops and another unknown man before the shooting. After he was dropped off by the brothers, Flow claims he later heard gunshots and ran back to the car to find the men dead.
According to the arrest warrant, Flow said he attempted to call police, but his phone’s screen was cracked. He then slammed the phone on the ground and went back to his home. But the warrant also states there is police body camera footage which shows Flow telling an officer he thought he left his phone in the car. Flow apparently gave the police a fake name as well.
Flow is signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment imprint. He appeared on the label’s 2014 compilation album Rise Of An Empire. The 23-year-old rapper also made headlines earlier this year when he publicly dissed Wayne’s rival Young Thug.
