50 Cent Features Battle Rapper DNA’s Song During “Power” Credits

Queens battle rapper DNA got the stamp of approval from 50 Cent, who featured one of his songs on the latest episode of Power.  The track appears on the closing credits of episode 8 of Power Book IV: Force, titled “Dead Reckoning.” DNA took to social media over the weekend to celebrate the achievement. He shared a video of the song playing as the closing credits rolled.   “JUST FINISHED WATCHING POWER ‘FORCE’ EPISODE 8 N GUESS WHO SONG PLAYS AT THE END OF SHOW,” he wrote alongside the video.   DNA has also resurrected his Power recaps, returning with a breakdown of episode 8. DNA met up with 50 Cent earlier this year when The Final Lap tour rolled into Houston. The G-Unit boss was in town during the same weekend Ultimate Rap League hosted Summer Madness. 50 Cent and DNA joined URL co-founder Smack White in a video shout-out to promote the event.  Meanwhile, DNA is gearing up to host Halloween Havoc later this week (October 28). He’s set to face his longtime friend and fellow battle rapper, Wild N’ Out star Charlie Clips, in a showdown using solely wrestling-themed bars.

I can’t talk sh*t, I can do that. But the way y’all put words together and dissect ngas … the sh*t is art.” “I get chills just thinking about the first time I was able to see y’all battle.”   Despite saying that he didn’t think he could rock with him … what did he do when he got around DNA and Twork, just nine days later? The sh*t talker stepped to them with fury. The two top-tiers reminded him that he is a superhero in football (2011 AFC Champion, 10,000 Receiving Yards Club member), but it is the battle rap arena they wear capes.   Do you think that we might get an Ocho Cinco battle?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Meek Mill Going To Battle Cassidy On Pay-Per-View?

Everyone knows that Philly has one of the best battle rap scenes in the nation. One of the biggest rappers in the nation right now, Meek Mill, recently did an interview with our homie, journalist Shaheem Reid, where he talks about the art of battling and he goes into his rap battle background. Meek also mentions that he would want $100,000 to step back into the battle scene (which was reportedly already set to take place against battle rapper, DNA). You can check out the interview below: [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JpFhYFlVyY&w=560&h=315] While answering a question regarding who Meek Mill would like to see battle each other, Meek said he would like to see Cassidy and Murda Mook battle. But some media outlets interpreted his answer wrong and credited him as saying that he would want to battle either Cassidy or Murda Mook. Cassidy heard about the rumors, too, and over the weekend, he jumped on the radio with Hot 107.9 and accepted the offer to battle Meek Mill. Check out what he said below: “If it came down to do a battle thing, I would love to do that. Cause it’ll be beneficial. I would get some credibility for biting somebody head off, and I’d get a nice little check out of it.” Cassidy seemed to have to whole fight planned out, from getting it on Pay-Per-View to getting sponsors to come in and pay that “chicken.” Apparently that’s a new slang phrase out of Philly meaning money. “We definitely can get a nice crowd, get some crazy sponsors and get some chicken up. So it’ll be beneficial for me to do something like that.” Did Cassidy imply that he would bite Meek’s head off in a battle? Meek heard Cassidy loud and clear and took to his Twitter to let Cassidy know he has to get his weight up before he can step into a battle with him. Well, it looks like those battle plans are on hold for now. I for one would love to see this battle go down, but Meek is right – he has nothing to prove and is busy getting “arena” tour money. Maybe Swizzy can link back up with Cassidy and those two could cook up another few hits. I always liked their musical chemistry. You can listen to Cassidy’s radio interview below. [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLX0Hj__5qA] But wait! Where does that leave DNA in this whole battle drama? The word in them battle streets is that Meek was set to get straight slaughtered by DNA, one of the best on the circuit right now. So did Meek wise up and sweep that DNA challenge under the table? We’re not sure, but this battle stuff is getting interesting… Email me your rumors at SydneyLaceAHH@gmail.com GET INTERACTIVE WITH ALLHIPHOP.COM! Follow us on Twitter! Like us on Facebook! VIDEO: Comedian Michael Blackson Quits His Day Job to Battle Meek Mill Nemesis DNA

Battle rapper DNA has some serious business coming up in the form of a rap battle against Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill. There’s a possible $100,000 on the line, along with bragging rights galore – and some say there’s no way Meek can beat DNA in a competitive battle arena that he isn’t a part of. In the meantime, a cool and composed DNA took some time out to battle an unlikely opponent – funny man Michael Blackson, a.k.a. “The African King of Comedy,” who decided to quit comedy for a week to prep and then battle DNA. The video of what went down is below. Pure comedy!: [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80cVErYNKXs&w=560&h=315] Follow DNA on Twitter (@DNA_GTFOH).

Ready To Rumble: Battle Rapper DNA Accepts Meek Mill’s Bar-for-Bar Challenge

(AllHipHop News) Ultimate Rap League (URL) battle rapper DNA has accepted Meek Mill’s challenge to a rap battle through a recent YouTube video. In the video, which was released on Tuesday (October 9), the self-proclaimed “Get him the f*ck out of here” battle rapper addressed the battle challenge by watching a few minutes of the Meek Mill vs. Nagos’ battle, and pointing out how Mill’s approach to a battle is too outdated for field of battle rap today. “Your music is fire but bro, in 2012, that type of battling is not going to work with me at all,” said DNA, who has been viewed over one million times on YouTube, spitting powerful punch-lines and fast-flowing freestyles against current King of the Dot champion (and victor over Canibus), Dizaster. “I done battled some of the best competition in the world, so it’s nothing for me jump in the ring with Meek and we can get it on.” [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GrncgAN8Bw] Mill tweeted this past Sunday about his desire to battle a seasoned battle rapper after watching URL’s DNA vs. E. Ness battle, which took place during their Summer Madness 2 event at New York City’s Webster’s Hall. The Maybach Music Group MC went on to boast that he wouldn’t even have to write for the lyrical bout, since he’s had a near perfect record battling on the streets Philadelphia since he was 14 years old. Tweeted Mill, “I just feel like taking over….. that funny s__t ain’t gone out beat these flows and real s__t! And I ain’t gone write s__t! Lets get it!” Only time will tell if the former battle rapper and now MMG breakout star will actually meet the URL contender in the ring. BONUS: DNA vs. E.
