Big Sean Responds to Ludacris Diss

(AllHipHop News) Big Sean clarified statements he made about his role in developing the now infamous ” Supa Dupa Flow” style of rhyming. Big Sean responded to Ludacris’ “Badaboom” track released yesterday (November 17). During an interview with Seattle’s KUBE 93FM, Big Sean explained that he respects Ludacris and described how he thinks the rumors and misconceptions about the rhyming tactic became so popular. “I ain’t got no problems with Luda, I never did. I think he’s referring to an interview I did over a year ago. Literally over a year ago,” Big Sean explained as he defended himself to Seattle’s KUBE 93 radio. “But in the interview I said he’s a legend. I respect people who is ahead of me. I respect OG’s and the G’s in general. The only thing I said, [the interviewers] was telling me about the “Supa Dupa’ flow. They call it the ‘Supa Dupa’ flow because on ‘Big Sean’ my second mixtape I had a flow on there where I was using one word to describe another word in a punchline form.” Currently Drake is on tour with A$AP Rocky and his album Take Care is projected to sell over 500,000 copies in the first week, despite being leaked on the internet a week prior to release. Big Sean squashed any possiblity of beef with Luda or Drake and blamed the internet for blowing his comments out of proportion. “I think people just want to see some beef, and I’ll tell you this now, a lot of people think me and Drake got problems, and I can only speak from my side, but I talked to Drake a month or two ago and everything was all cool. So I don’t know personally if he has any issues with me now but, as far as I’m concerned thats the homie, I dont have nothing against him. And Luda, Luda is Luda, I dont really know Luda like that so I can’t really say nothing, but you know I ain’t got nothing against him, I’m surprised he cared so much.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Drake Taking a Shot at Memphis’s Don Trip???

Now I don’t want to sound like an instigator, BUT it sounds like to me that Drake took a shot at Memphis’s own Don Trip, who has the hit song entitled “Letter To My Son.” A couple of months back, Don Trip was on set of DJ Khaled’s ‘I’m On One” video shoot on the same day he recorded his own YouTube video for his freestyle of “I’m On One.” One of Don Trip’s most noticeable lines on the record was ” I bet I can sell paint/While it’s drying.” Now, notice on Drake’s song “Over My Dead Body,” he says, “Man all of your flows/ Bore me like paint drying/ And I don’t never be TRIPPIN/ Off of what ain’t mine.” We all know Drake’s family roots can be traced back to Memphis from his father. Don Trip, being from Memphis, has been spending a lot of time in Drake’s new adopted city Miami because he signed to Cool-n-Dre’s new label. Who knows the relationship between Don Trip and Drake, if any at all, but there were definitely shots taken if you pay attention. Here’s a link below of Don Trip’s “I’m On One” freestyle: [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHZ_Jk5d3W4&w=560&h=315] Well???

Drake’s Take Care Leaks

(AllHipHop News) Drake’s new album Take Care was leaked to the Internet last night, the rapper confirmed via Twitter last night (November 6). “I am not sure if the album leaked. But if it did thank god it doesn’t happen a month early anymore,” Drake tweeted last night. The album which  features the singles “Headlines,” “Marvin’s Room” and the recently released “Make Me Proud” featuring Young Money label mate Nicki Minaj, which is heavily anticipated across the net. Thousands of copies have been downloaded over the past 24 hours, yet Drake remained cool about the leak on Twitter. “Listen enjoy it, buy it if you like it…and take care until next time,” Drake tweeted. Highlights of the leaked LP include the Just Blaze produced song, “Lord Knows” featuring Rick Ross, and the title track, “Take Care” featuring Rihanna. Take Care is due in stores on November 15. The same thing happened to Drake’s debut album Thank Me Later, which leaked to the Internet almost 15 days prior to the album’s release date. It didn’t impact the albums sales, as the release moved over 445,000 copies in the first week and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart.
