“I killed Sway like 10 times where you at Flex”? Hallelujah. Week 14 of “Mean Mondays” is finally here and as promised R-Mean has released his 14th installment entitled Hallelujah, for his 52-week-long series. Just in case anybody’s wondering, yes, it’s a hit. Alongside R-Mean on the track is Joe Peshi. The flow of each emcee goes together perfectly, so it’s guaranteed to heat up the streets this summer. Funk Master Flex’s name is mentioned in the first verse. Flex is known for promoting breakthrough artist, so R-Mean said “I killed Sway like 10 times where you at Flex”. Don’t be mistaken it’s not a diss, just a “knock on the door”. R-Mean feels that he’s been putting the work and the time in so it’s time to acknowledged by the world. This video of R-Mean slaughtering the 5 fingers of death on Shade 45 will help you understand why.

HOT 97’s NEW SHOW IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK…PEEP!
(AllHipHop News) Last night (January 24), TLC hosted an intimate press screening of their upcoming docu-series “Starter Wives Confidential” at the INC Lounge in Times Square, in the heart of New York City. The “Starter Wives Confidential” reality television show gives viewers a glimpse into the fascinating and complicated lives of celebrity ex’s. At the screening cast members Josie Harris (ex-fiance of Floyd Mayweather), Liza Morales (ex-girlfriend of Lamar Odom), Tashera Simmons (ex-wife of DMX), Monica Joseph-Taylor (ex-wife of Funkmaster Flex), Zakia Baum (ex-girlfriend of Maino), and Cheryl Caruso (ex-wife of Phil Caruso) participated in a post-screening Q&A, moderated by model/actress Liris Crosse. During the press screening, DMX’s ex-wife explained how she had recently moved on from her relationship with the multi-platinum and at times troubled rapper. “I was 100% mother and wife,” DMX’s ex-wife Tashera revealed. “When I love, I love hard. [DMX] was great at what he did – which was cheating – but I’m happy as hell now. I’ve found someone very special in my life.” The wives also break down how they spent years in the shadows of their men, while supporting them emotionally and sometimes even financially, as they rose to fame. The show divulges into the “starter wives” lives as they attempt to show how they raised the children, kept the homes and stood by their men through it all despite the fact that in the end the relationship’s soured. TLC’s new show also attempts to show how the women were left to start over and figure out how to get along with their famous lovers well enough to raise children together. “Starter Wives Confidential” premieres Tuesday, January 29 at 19:00 pm EST on TLC, which is available in more than 99 million homes in the US and more than 227 million households in nearly 150 markets internationally. “Starter Wives Confidential” cast members: Tashera Simmons, Monica Joseph-Taylor, Cheryl Caruso, Liza Morales, Josie Harris, & Zakia Baum attend a press screening at the Time Hotel’s INC Lounge.

CAN FUNK MASTER FLEX END LIL’ WAYNE’S YOUNG MONEY?
Rapper, actor, and businessman, 50 Cent, is out of the hospital and back on the promo circuit, promoting his new Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama, and he gave an interesting interview to Hot 97’s Funk Master Flex. When asked about whether or not he supports gay marriage, 50 gave an interesting comment that has some people scratching their heads. Check out what he said below: “I’m cool. I would like people to actually be happy. Technically, I don’t see where it fits into any religion. The Bible that they would read to marry you, it doesn’t have anything in it that says same-sex. If it does, then I would like someone to point out that interpretation. I’ve encouraged same-sex activities. I’ve engaged in fetish areas a couple times. I’m for it. I’m wondering if I’m bad for promoting it when the president says it’s fine.” Um, alrighty then! I’m sure 50 is alluding to girl on girl action…right? Anyway, 50 also relayed some not so nice things that Jimmy Iovine allegedly said about Pastor Ma$e: “[Diddy] picked up Ma$e, I thought he was gonna come back and see me with the paper later. He asked me for $2 million. Jimmy [Iovine] like, ‘Ma$e ain’t worth $2 million with $2 million in his pocket.’ Jimmy like, ‘Look, I wanna see this thing happen. Let’s make this thing happen and I’ll give up my profit.’ I’ve never heard him say that ever. I think [Puff] had an issue with losing Ma$e to me.” 50 also says that he and Cam’ron have a lot of joint projects in the works, including music and films. “They should look forward to us [Cam’ron] working together, music and film. We gonna be doing something that happens first of the month. We’ll swap each one of the months.” You can listen to the whole interview here, where 50 also speaks on his rift with Lloyd Banks, The Game, and his hospital stay. 50 Cent’s Gangsta Grillz mixtape, The Lost Tape, will be out May 22.
Last night, New York’s HOT 97 DJ Funk Master Flex went on a long rant during his radio show against Power 105.1 DJ, DJ Clue. The rant was sparked because DJ Clue was bragging about beating Flex in the ratings the night before on twitter. In his sound off, Flex claims that he went into DJ Clue’s email and took an exclusive record, specifically, Nicki Minaj’s, “Beez In The Trap”. Flex also went in on DJ Clue claiming that he is not made for radio. “You talk the talk, walk the walk,” barked Flex. “This is not your arena. This radio thing is not your arena, okay!” Flex berated Clue for about 5 minutes calling him numerous names including “Box” and “Charlie Brown”. Clue did not take too kindly to all of the talk, check out his response on twitter below: Did Flex really steal that Nicki Minaj record though? That ish cray!
